About Dr. Nicole Negus
Nicole Negus is a Board-Certified Dermatology Nurse-Practitioner at Deerfield Dermatology. Nicole has over 6 years of extensive medical experience initially as a registered nurse shortly followed by as a Nurse Practitioner.
Nicole received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2016. In 2019, from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. As a Wisconsin native, for 2 years, she served her local community in the medical intensive care unit (MICU) where she provided critical care to the most complex patients. Nicole further honed her clinical skills by working as a Registered Nurse at Rush University Medical Center where she spearheaded critical care nursing with a focus on cardiac and neurological conditions. It was during this time she realized she aspired to do more for her patients and returned to school for an advanced practice degree.
Once again, she returned to University of Wisconsin and in 2024 received her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner degree. For three years while completing her graduate degree, she transitioned to working as a Registered Nurse in a well-established dermatology practice in Chicago. Nicole is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has been in practice since 2024 practicing medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, having completed the SDNP Diplomate Fellowship Program, and a proud member of the Dermatology Nurses Association.
Nicole enjoys all aspects of dermatology from treating a variety of skin conditions such as acne, dermatitis, psoriasis to skin cancer detection and removal. She has extensive experience in facial rejuvenation using neuromodulators and dermal fillers. But most importantly, by providing a welcoming environment built on trust, Nicole is passionate about ensuring that her patients feel comfortable.
