DR. NICOLE NGUYEN, MD
Dr. Nguyen is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. She attained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Southern California prior to returning to her home state of Texas to complete both her medical school and residency training at UT Health San Antonio.

Dr. Nguyen aims to demonstrate compassion while understanding her patients as individuals, taking into account their goals and backgrounds in formulating a treatment plan.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Initial consultation sessions include a 1 hour comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where she will gather information about patients' current situation, past medical, psychiatric, and social history. She aims to include patients in shared, informed decision making about treatment options.
During 30 minute follow up visits, Dr. Nguyen will focus on medication management as well as providing brief, supportive psychotherapy regarding additional patient concerns during the remaining time.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance

Booked this appointment in advanced, was called and emailed incessantly by the office to complete the intake forms over a week prior to the appointment. I had to ask them to stop calling and just email me, they said it was important that I know the cancellation fee and how important it was that I give ample notice if any changes to the appointment were needed…
Fast forward to the morning of my appointment, the copay is auto drafted from my account, and I was simply sent a receipt of that charge 3 hours before the appointment. I tried calling them to make sure auto payments would not continue and was on hold for 7 min. I had to hang up because it was time for my zoom appointment.
I’m in the zoom call on time, waiting, it’s 10 minutes late at this point and the assistant hops on the zoom to tell me Dr. Nguyen will not be making it to the appointment because she is sick.
Absolutely unacceptable. No warning, no courtesy. Terrible experience, would not suggest this office to anyone.

My initial visit was an hour long, so there was plenty of time for assessment and just discussing things in general. I was happy to get a diagnosis right away and am excited to see the difference medication might make. Dr. Nguyen was a great listener and easy to talk to.

Dr Nguyen and staff were great with getting my appointment scheduled and was able to be seen within a few days. Dr Nguyen was easy to speak with and respectful. Many treatments were discussed and she gave detailed information on the topics. I would recommend this provider and look forward to the follow up.

Dr. Nguyen was an amazing listener. I went in after not having insurance for most of my life and had to do a lot of self-diagnosing growing up. She listened to all my concerns and never felt judgmental or rushed. I'm definitely gonna be seeing her again.
