Getting to know Nicole Rodriguez

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based mental health care. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, and other mental health conditions. My approach is collaborative and holistic. I believe treatment should be tailored to the individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. During our visits, I take the time to understand your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, goals, and concerns so that we can develop a treatment plan you feel comfortable with. When medication is appropriate, I focus on thoughtful and conservative prescribing, using the lowest effective medication dose whenever possible. I also work with patients who are interested in safely reducing or simplifying their medications when clinically appropriate. Treatment may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, supportive therapy, and coordination with therapists or other healthcare professionals. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel heard and involved in every decision about your care. Whether you are seeking your first psychiatric evaluation, a second opinion, or ongoing medication management, I look forward to helping you work toward greater stability, wellness, and quality of life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard and comfortable discussing your concerns. My approach is collaborative and individualized—I’ll explain your options, answer your questions, and involve you in decisions about your treatment. I believe in thoughtful, conservative prescribing and use medication when appropriate while also considering lifestyle changes, therapy, and other supportive approaches. When clinically appropriate, I can also help patients simplify or gradually reduce medications rather than remaining on unnecessary treatment long term.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first visit focuses on getting to know you and understanding the full picture of what you’re experiencing. We’ll review your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, current medications, lifestyle, concerns, and treatment goals. From there, we’ll develop a personalized plan together, which may include medication management, non-medication strategies, therapy recommendations, or a combination of approaches. Follow-up visits are used to monitor your progress, address side effects or concerns, and make thoughtful adjustments as needed. My goal is to help you feel better while keeping treatment as effective and straightforward as possible.
