“I enjoyed my visit with Dr. R. and am so happy I finally found a therapist I connect with. She is empathetic, clear and articulate, and offers great insight and interpretation. (I have been frustrated by therapists who simply reflect back what I just said, so my interaction with Dr. R. was a breath of fresh air for me!) I will definitely be staying on with her.”

Getting to know Dr. Nicole Rosenfield

Approach Relationships with others, with yourself and with your environment all shape who you are. I believe healing of any kind begins with developing insight into and mending your relationships. This might mean setting boundaries, honoring your emotional experience, or making a major life change. These will be our main goals in therapy. I work to create a supportive and holding environment for my patients through which we build lasting change. I am warm, direct, and find value in incorporating humor into my work. Working from a psychodynamic framework, which values insight, attachment, and relationships, I integrate cognitive-behavioral techniques and mindfulness practice to help patients build skills and connect with their innermost selves. About Dr. Nicole (Rosenfield) Davis (she/her) is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) and holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University Post. Prior to obtaining her doctorate, Dr. Davis obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Smith College. Throughout her training and clinical career, she has provided individual and couples therapy to adolescents, adults, and families of diverse cultural backgrounds, specializing in support for the LGBTQ+ community. In addition to therapy, she has led and contributed to research studies on caregiver burden. Dr. Davis completed her APA-accredited internship at NYU-Bellevue Hospital Center, where she trained extensively in trauma, substance use, and serious mental illness. Afterward, she completed her postdoctoral fellowship at a large group practice in Brooklyn. Dr. Davis' previous clinical training experience includes working in college counseling, community mental health, and foster care. Today, Dr. Davis sees patients virtually and in-person in Manhattan and Brooklyn. She also supervises student clinicians at LIU Post.
