Nicole Schmelz is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing since 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hope College and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Ohio University. With over 8 years of experience working in several emergency departments across the country, Nicole has cared for vulnerable patients across the lifespan. During this time, she developed a passion for helping those experiencing psychological distress, including anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, sleep disorders, ADHD, substance abuse, and more. She employs a holistic, non-judgmental approach that addresses the mind, body, and spirit. Nicole empowers her patients to be actively involved in their care and collaborates with them to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs. Outside of work, Nicole enjoys traveling, watching the Detroit Lions, and spending time with her cats, Beans and Harv.
