Choosing a pediatrician can be a difficult decision, but my goal is to make it an easy one. Every family deserves thoughtful, individualized care. With my warm and compassionate approach, I strive to create a welcoming environment where patients and families feel comfortable and confident in their child’s care. I combine clinical expertise with a deep commitment to supporting both patients and their families.
Beyond direct care, I advocate for improved access to healthcare, using tools like MyChart to enhance communication and incorporating community health resources to ensure comprehensive care. I’m a Chicagoland native and connect patients to local resources that can help them thrive. My commitment to the well-being of my patients and their access to care is at the heart of my practice.
I truly enjoy building long-term relationships with families as their children grow and hope to be your trusted partner every step of the way! I particularly enjoy newborn care and partnering with new parents to care for their children.
My personal interests are spending time with family, swimming, puzzling, reading, and hiking.

One thing that was odd to me, was that she didn't use gloves when examining my child nor did she wash her hands (or sanitizer) before or after.

We had a great experience, Dr. Schmidt is super nice and listened to the concerns we had and addressed them. We also called ahead, and spoke to a nurse over the phone and she was very try helpful as well.

The visit was amazing from the moment the nurse escorted us to the room. This created a positive atmosphere that leads up to meeting the doctor. She was amazing, great listener, and even a greater communicator. Will recommend her, and her staff without hesitation. Thanks again to everyone who helped made this visit a success. Good Friday!! Dr. Schmidt was so sympathetic to my new mom worries. She acted as if she had hours to hear out my concerns. She took time to check in on me because I was very overwhelmed. We left relieved and encouraged. Dr. Schmidt hugged me on the way out and reassured me I was only doing what was best for my child. The next day Dr. Schmidt messaged me with a more thorough explanation of one of my concerns. It just proved how this provider went above and beyond.

It was my first time bringing my son to her and I really liked her and he liked her as well. She was VERY nice and I am very happy with the care she gave my son. He is young (almost 7 months) so he was trying to help with the stethoscope and laughing and smiling at her and she was playful at times and very nice. I have not had the same experience with other doctors.
