Dr. Nicole Szabo earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Family Practice at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Chesterfield Family Practice Residency Program in Richmond, VA, with additional training at Johnston-Willis Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. Dr. Szabo is board certified in Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She has experience treating a wide range of conditions, including acute concerns, and has a particular interest in preventative medicine and women’s health. She prides herself on providing holistic, empathetic care to a diverse population and enjoys teaching and collaborating with patients. In her free time, she enjoys food, traveling, reading, hiking, exercising, and spending time with family.

Dr. Szabo was great. I was a new patient and had several about my health that I was anxious to discuss. She took the time to address each of my issues and really made me feel like I was her most important patient. She's very friendly and patient, and seemed knowledgeable even about some of the more random things that I'm dealing with. She's now my new primary care doctor, and I feel like I'm in great hands.

I put off many medical appointments because of waiting too long, being rushed through my appointments, and lack of actionable care. Thankfully, this appointment was very different - everyone from the front desk, the nurses, medical assistants, and especially the doctor took the time to really provide me with a thorough assessment and with the follow-ups I needed. I was looking for a new PCP and I think I've found one in Dr. Szabo. She was very nice, attentive, answered all of my questions, and really got to know me and my history as a first time patient. The wait from being taken back to her seeing me was only 10 mins, but the wait in between her leaving and another member of staff coming to do blood work was longer than expected. I'm attributing that to the fact that I had an appointment after 5:30pm on a Monday night, so the staff was smaller. I think going earlier in the day might be a bit smoother, but overall good experience.

As many reviews before me have stated, I cannot say enough kind remarks about my experience. I don’t think I’ve ever had a more thorough and patient care from a provider than I did with Dr. Szabo and her staff. I had numerous follow-up questions and I never felt brushed off or rushed. Each concern and query was treated with deep consideration and care. The entire staff from reception to the nurse practitioners were absolutely lovely and I shared a few laughs with each of them.
I was actually surprised how long my appointment ran when I left because it was that easy breezy yet packed with insightful information.
