Getting to know Nicole Urbanski

Hi, I’m Nicole, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I’m so glad you’re considering taking this step for yourself. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start—you’re not alone. Finding the right provider matters, and I want you to feel confident that you’ll be truly heard, supported, and cared for from the very beginning. My approach is both warm and highly individualized. I don’t believe in rushed appointments or one-size-fits-all care. Instead, I prioritize longer visits, thoughtful conversations, and prompt, reliable communication so you always feel connected and supported—not just during appointments, but in between them as well. With experience across inpatient, outpatient, and interventional psychiatry settings, I bring a strong clinical foundation to my work—while still keeping the focus where it belongs: on you as a whole person. I integrate medication management with therapeutic support and real-life strategies to help you feel better in a way that is sustainable and meaningful. I work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, mood disorders, and personality disorders, including more complex or treatment-resistant cases. Whether you’re just starting your mental health journey or looking for a provider who will take a deeper, more collaborative approach, I’m here to partner with you. MY GOAL IS SIMPLE: for you to feel understood, SUPPORTED, and like you finally have someone in your corner.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with Nicole, you can expect thoughtful, personalized care from a provider trained to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions. Nicole takes a whole-person approach, considering both the biological and environmental factors that influence your mental health. She believes that effective care starts with truly listening—understanding your goals, your struggles, and your life experiences. Together, you’ll build a tailored treatment plan designed to support both your short-term needs and long-term growth. With Nicole, you are never just a number—you are a person, and your care is rooted in connection, trust, and a lasting therapeutic relationship.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial appointment consists of a 60-minute psychiatric evaluation, which includes a diagnostic assessment and establishing a treatment plan. The following appointments consist of 30 minute appointment follow ups. Nicole prefers to keep communication channels open and has quick response time to communication.

I have been putting my mental health off for a long time (over a decade) and have pretty bad health anxiety, but Nicole made this whole process so easy for me, she really took the time to listen to what I had to say. I am so happy to have found her and I definitely recommend her!
My visit was great but I’ve reached out 3 separate times when I’ve really needed to speak to her and I got no response but my bank was charged and I’m being asked to leave a good review?? I don’t think I will be revisiting.
Nicole was very friendly and I feel that due to her bedside manner I will have an opportunity to receive the best possible care which is something that I really needed. I felt at home with Nicole and very grateful to have an opportunity to share a part of my situation in hopes of getting some help long term. Nicole was a genuine listener who provided a peaceful and supportive environment for someone like me that was just completely comforting overall. A return visit is something that I am looking forward to.
