Honestly, I am unable to descript Dr. Villanueva bedside manner. It's not inviting, warm or welcoming. Once you get passed this, and us your voice to clearly describing your symptoms without looking for sympathy. I believe you will be alright. Will I return to her office for medical assistance, yes. because I believe she's good at the profession.

The office and area seemed nice however they should update on this app the insurances that they take and don’t take. Walked in and informed them what insurance I had and said that they don’t network with them. Wasn’t seen that day unfortunately. Should change it so other military members can be aware that they don’t take their insurance. It is already somewhat difficult to find locations that take military members with Tricare and then upsetting when you get there and don’t take your insurance. The ladies seemed nice and offered to still be seen but pay $200. Unfortunately I had to leave.

During my appointment, a staff member walked in and started a casual, unrelated conversation with the dermatologist while I was the patient in the room. It lasted about 30 seconds, and neither of them acknowledged nor apologized. That felt VERY disrespectful and unprofessional. The fact that she walked in and just started chit-chatting, and Nilufer allowed it? That threw me off COMPLETELY. I did not like that at all—horrible first impression.
As for the visit itself, this was my first appointment with Dr. Nilufer Demirkan (2/19/26). Check-in and the medical assistant were fine, but the dermatologist was impersonal and didn’t really introduce herself or provide much guidance. I was told my skin “wasn’t bad,” but I came for help with dark spots and left without a clear treatment plan.
Only out-of-pocket products were suggested, with no discussion of prescriptions or insurance-covered options. The visit felt minimal and not patient-centered. I left unsatisfied and won’t be returning.

Nilufer was absolutely fantastic and one of my favorite providers to visit with! She listens to your concerns, doesn’t rush you out (the day I went, the office was hectic), and left me feeling positive about myself. Both times I’ve met with her, she’s provided me with options for the reasons I was there and I never felt pressured to do anything extra. Even if she didn’t remember from me from my previous visit, she made me feel like she did and honestly, that’s half the battle right there.

Wasn’t seen by the actual doctor that I booked. I was seen by a PA, 45 minutes after my appointment time, without any proper notice. I just received an automated text that my appointment was moved to 45 min under a different provider’s name. I asked the front desk, and the employee there said “oh, I just moved you.” No heads up or anything. Plus I was sitting there for 15 minutes before even being called to be handed out paperwork to fill out. They also let a few people who came in after me go first, and I was on time for my appointment.
