Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
NY
*After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment.* I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a strong background in mental health, informed by both my personal experiences and extensive education. I earned my Master’s in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from D'Youville University. My healthcare journey began as a registered nurse in 2014, focusing on oncology and end-of-life care, where I developed a deep appreciation for mental well-being. Since transitioning to mental health care as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in 2023, I have specialized in treating complex trauma and ADHD and have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ranging in age from young adults to the elderly. My approach is grounded in providing compassionate, whole-person care where safety, acceptance, and authenticity are central to each patient’s experience. I believe in meeting people where they are in life and partnering with them to navigate their unique challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, I want you to know that I prioritize creating a non-judgmental and supportive space where you feel safe to be yourself. My style is collaborative, meaning we work together to understand your needs, set goals, and adjust our approach based on what feels right for you. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including schema work and internal family systems (IFS), to help you make sense of how your past experiences shape your present. I have a particular interest in the intersection of trauma and ADHD, and I am always seeking new resources and training to offer the best support in these areas. My goal is to provide a space where you can explore your struggles openly, free of the “shoulds” or expectations, and begin to understand the connections between your experiences and how they affect your life today.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our sessions will be customized to you. Our first visit will be spent discussing your life experiences, current struggles, and anticipated benefits from treatment. I'll listen closely and ask questions to understand your unique story and help guide us toward the best course of action. From there, we'll work together to create a treatment plan that feels manageable and adaptable to your needs. Whether we are working through trauma, managing ADHD, or addressing substance use concerns, my goal is to support you in developing resilience and learning coping mechanisms for life’s challenges. Depending on your needs and what works for you, talk therapy, medication management, or a combination of the two may be used in sessions. I strive to make each session a place where you feel seen, heard, and supported as we walk through this process together.
