Patient reviews for Dr. Nirupama Natarajan
Dr. Niru was very thorough, a little bit on the robotic side but all in all I was happy. She listened and offered realistic advice, and suggested both pharmaceutical and holistic solutions for my issues.
She is incredible. Trust me! I felt the warm, care, and support I needed for my daughter.
She was emotionless and I felt awkward telling her my business. She didn’t make me feel comfortable like she cared about what I was telling her. I felt she was really dry and straight to the point like it was just a job.
30 minutes late for the appointment (and no Zocdoc, that does not equal 4 stars). She just started firing away questions with no explanation of what the bigger purpose was. I didn't feel like she was focused on my care, more like she was going through a series of form questions.
I was not happy and left feeling rushed and more anxiety.
Dr. Natarajan has a very nice personality. She was very thorough, kind and showed that she cared.
I was kept waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time without so much as a "sorry to keep you waiting". Dr Natarajan lacks any personality. Felt like talking to a robot.
She is a great doctor, has helped me tremendously since I have been her patient. I would definitely recommend her for new psychiatric patients.
I really like the Doc! She isnt overly friendly, but is a great doc.
I like her. She isn't the most personable psychiatrist, but she's a good doctor.
We took our autistic son to see Dr. Niru for a psychiatric evaluation. She was kind, pleasant and put my family at ease. She listened to our troubles and was able to offer what i thought was very topical insight into our son's behavioral issues. We left feeling that we had made a good choice in seeing Dr Niru and that it was the first step towards a positive, theraputic relationship.
I? would recommend her
Dr Natarajan is as cold as the other reviewers say. And she will ask you a question and totally interrupt you. On top of that, it would take paying for three visits and separate testing before a diagnosis anything so I chose another doctor who could do it in one. They also made me take a drug test on my first visit. Which I recently found out is charged separately from the appointment with no warning and it will cost me more than my rent. So no I don't recommend this doctor.
I thought Dr. Natarajan was very thorough and asked specific questions to get down to the root of my concerns. She was pleasant and professional.
Always a wait. Staff and dr nice and friendly.
I basically paid to sit in her office and have her ask me "what medication would you like me to prescribe you?" I didn't feel like I was really heard or listened to, but instead was just passed through the conveyor belt.
She seemed very bored and then gave me a prescription for the most expensive antidepressant with no generic version and my insurance would not cover it. It is very obvious that this practice is about making money they want you to come in for an appointment for just about everything, refills, a doctor's note, etc.
Office staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Natarajan was awesome. She spent time with me asking questions and getting to know me. I felt like I was important to her as a patient. I would highly recommend her.
She doesn't listen. She keeps interrupting while you are talking and makes assumptions that she would learn are false if she just listened. She also, like many others, pushes drugs on you. I was very disappointed.
very good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had a bad experience. I felt scammed at times having to come back so many times for a refill of the same medication, so my medical expenses skyrocketed this year. Also, she will forget to send a prescription refill to your pharmacy and her staff will require you to come in to request another refill. So I went on for a while without meds waiting on a refill that was never filled and then told to come in again to request the refill after calling the pharmacy and then her office. Scam...I've wasted time, money, and energy.
Her demeanor was a little stoic, but her overall care is good. She works out of a confusing office complex, so it's hard to find your way there. Overall, she gets the job done.
She heard everything i had to say. I've been trying and begging for help for years.SheActually heard me out, gave suggestions and then told me what i being figuring for years. Thanks for being attentive , patient, and professional.
Eh! Wasn't expecting a care bear , but she could TRY to be more lively. She likes to interrupt your sentence, which can be annoying. However, towards the end of the session I saw a more personable caring side to her. I was able to get my meds and will most likely try her again.
The doctor's visit was uncomfortable. There wasn't anything warm and inviting about the visit, at all. The office smelled like mildew. I called back later needing advice, and when she called back, she seemed annoyed, but also I couldn't understand anything she said, so I had to ask her to repeat herself. She has an accent, but that isn't why I couldn't understand her. I couldn't understand her because her speech was very low and monotone. If I were the doctor, I'd give her a prescription for depression. She seemed very depressed.
My visit felt to be rather cold and not very understanding.
No complaints - She was very competent and helpful. It was my first time using ZocDoc - Amazing service, I love it!
She's very attentive to each story and ask questions that matter. I recommend her for any American soldiers who would like to give her their insight.
Office staff complerely incompetent and rude.
There was no genuine concern just a script of questions and then I was ushered out the door. If you require medication then this is your spot.
Dr. Natarajan is a great listener and great doctor. She carefully listens to her patient and ask the right questions. I am glad to have found her office!! Her staff was friendly and helpful too.
Not at all what I expected from my first visit. I went in to speak with her about trouble with concentration and focus and left with a new prescription for an antidepressant - even though I told her that I was happy with what I was on. She gave me a card to schedule an ADHD evaluation, but it looks like it will still be several more weeks before I might see some relief for the symptoms that I was referred to her to treat! I left feeling...confused.
The office is run very well, but the personality of Dr. Natarajan is quite flat, I don't connect with her very well.
This doctor was very curt and off putting. She was disengaged and unfriendly- Totally unexpected. She did not seem to be genuinely interested in what I had to say. I was very disappointed with this doctor - very weird experience.
I saw Dr. Natarajan recently because my previous psychiatrist moved to another practice too far away. I rarely leave negative reviews but I'm hoping to save others time, especially because finding the right psychiatrist can be an emotionally draining endeavor. If you're looking for an empathetic and compassionate psychiatrist, who overtly cares about your well being, I would not recommend Dr. Natarajan. She is very apathetic, and collects just enough information about your mental and emotional background to prescribe something. She is 100% all business, which unfortunately did not work for me at all.
Very nice and understanding
She didn't seem too interested with the issues I was addressing to her, she did prescribe me some medication that did help with my problem. However she failed to correctly address the side effects of this drug and now I'm in limbo dealing with them.
She was very helpful and seemed to know and understand how I was feeling.. I am looking forward to going back
Very professional, timely. She HEARD and LISTENED to my needs.
This was my first visit. The staff was very pleasant. During my visit, she was engaged, present and made me feel extremely comfortable. Overall great experience.
She was very kind and professional.
She was pleasant, but she did check her iPhone during my appointment and was over 30 minutes late to start.
She was professional and to the point.
