About Dr. Nita Patel
Dr. Nita Patel is a board certified Dermatologist and founder of Advance Dermatology & Laser Medical Center, Inc. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1987. Dr. Patel graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1991 and completed her dermatology residency at the UCLA and VA West Los Angeles Medical Centers in 1995. Dr. Patel is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and has extensive experience in general dermatology, skin cancer surgery, cosmetic procedures and lasers. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the David School of Medicine at UCLA and teaches dermatology residents, rotating residents and medical students on a volunteer basis. Dr. Patel is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She has received a Board Certificate in Laser Surgery and Medicine and is a Member of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery.

It's an OK experience. I've gone for a few annual check ups now and it gets the job done. Dr. Patel isn't the friendliest when it comes to asking questions, she seems a bit annoyed and short.

Dr. Patel is brilliant and does a lot of research behind her solutions. I don't think she is best for customer-facing things though....While she is smart, she can certainly make you feel like an inconvenience for asking questions and comes off as transaction/curt even. The front desk also isn't particularly warm/friendly and staff seems on edge for some reason - just an observation. These things really make you re-evaluate if you'd like to return back or not
