Getting to know Nkiruka Anakor
When I started my nursing career, my mission was simple: to make a meaningful impact and offer hope to those struggling with their mental health. I’ve always asked myself how I could help reduce stigma and bridge the gap for individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, panic attacks, schizophrenia, personality disorders, OCD, and more.
These questions continue to guide my work today. My journey in mental health has been fueled by a genuine commitment to support, uplift, and empower every person I meet.
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice from UMass Global, providing evidence-based care for individuals ages 6 through 70 and beyond. My approach includes medication management, supportive talk therapy, mindfulness practices, coping strategies, and compassionate clinical guidance tailored to each patient’s needs.
My goal is more than creating treatment plans—it’s building connection. I believe healing happens through science, empathy, and consistent support. Every patient deserves to feel heard, understood, and cared for as a whole person.

New clients can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space where we work together to find the right plan for your needs. During our first session, I’ll take time to understand your history, current challenges, and goals so we can build a personalized care plan that fits your lifestyle.
I believe healing starts with understanding and collaboration—so you’ll always be heard, supported, and included in every step of your treatment. My approach combines evidence-based care with compassion to help you feel balanced, empowered, and truly seen.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process is rooted in client-centered care. During our sessions, I focus on understanding your unique experiences, symptoms, and goals to create a plan that truly fits your needs.
Each step—assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up—is done collaboratively. You’ll always be part of the decision-making process as we work toward meaningful, measurable outcomes.
I aim to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard and understood. Through active listening, therapeutic communication, and evidence-based interventions like talk therapy, we’ll work together to build confidence, reduce stress, and promote positive thinking.

Provider didn't listen when I told her I needed the sa.e meds on our first visit because it would interfere with my other meds but still changed them and I had bad side effects. I would not recommend.
