What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns openly. I believe mental health care works best when patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. During our visits, we will work together to understand your symptoms, goals, lifestyle, and overall well-being. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapeutic guidance. My treatment approach is evidence-based and individualized, recognizing that each person’s mental health journey is unique. I value open communication, honesty, and teamwork. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, mood changes, ADHD, trauma, stress, or other mental health concerns, my goal is to help you develop practical strategies, improve symptom management, and achieve greater emotional wellness. I encourage clients to ask questions, share concerns, and participate actively in their care. My aim is to help you feel supported, empowered, and confident throughout your treatment journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. This initial assessment helps me gain a full understanding of your needs and allows us to develop an individualized treatment plan. Treatment may include medication management, psychoeducation, supportive therapy, and practical coping strategies depending on your symptoms and goals. While my primary role as a PMHNP includes psychiatric assessment and medication management, I also incorporate supportive therapeutic interventions, active listening, and education into sessions to help patients better understand and manage their mental health. Follow-up visits typically focus on symptom changes, medication effectiveness, side effects, stressors, coping skills, and overall progress. Treatment is collaborative, and I encourage open communication, questions, and active participation in care decisions. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered while working toward improved mental wellness and long-term stability.
