Nneka O. Godwin is a board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner with experience in family practice, post-acute care medicine, telepsychiatry, and addiction medicine. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Simmons University, a Master’s in Nursing from Post University, and holds Post-Master’s Certificates in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and Family Nursing from Wilkes University and South University, respectively.
Nneka uses an integrative approach that is flexible and adaptive in managing a wide range of mental health disorders across diverse backgrounds and age ranges, from adolescent to geriatric. She is trained and specializes in working with an array of disorders such as ADHD, PTSD, OCD, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, depression, substance use disorders, eating disorders, sleep disorders, mood disorders, and several others.
Her services include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide you with the best support in managing your mental health. Nneka has great compassion and empathy and is all-inclusive regardless of your gender, age, affiliation, identity, or ethnicity. She has a heart of gold and sees, loves, and accepts you for who you are and right where you are.
Nneka’s ability to see and accept you for who you are, along with her passion for what she does and extensive training, is what makes her such a unique healthcare provider. Outside of being your biggest cheerleader, Nneka also enjoys travel, watching movies, and good company.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Nneka uses an integrative approach that is flexible and adaptive in managing wide range of mental health issues. Treatment approach will be specially tailored to client's needs. Therapeutic approach include coaching and CBT.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Initial session include detailed history, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan. Education will be provided for any treatment modialities.
A two weeks follow up visit will be for evaluation and/ or modification of treatment plan. One month and subsequent visits will be discussed if needed

Already did this and its 3 am. Said she was one the best Psychs out of maybe 20. She is attentive.... puts you right at ease.... even if you feel you never wanted to try a female... she is the one... she listened to all I had to say... compassionate responses....eye contact..always seemed interested.. great responses... no judgement... and an upbeat attitude.. more but tooo zonked from from not being able to sleep from this insanse ANXIETY
