About Dr. Norma Islam
As a family medicine physician trained at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where I completed my residency in Family Medicine, and a graduate of the University of North Texas, Fort Worth, with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, I deeply value the relationships I build with my patients. I enjoy working with them to optimize their health through education and prevention. I treat both acute and chronic conditions and believe in the importance of taking the time to discuss preventative medicine. I look forward to providing comprehensive care to both pediatric and adult patients.

The Doctor was patient and very caring. Never felt rushed. She sat down with me and listened to my concerns. She ordered every test she felt was needed and didn’t dismissed my symptoms because of my weight. I will make her my PC doctor because I have never been treated this way. It was a very welcoming and warm experience even when I was so nervous.

I brought a three year old and an infant to my appointment, first time patient, and they were so good to us. The doctor and staff. They were timely, clean and the lab was right there ready for us. The lab was also awesome with my littles while drawing my blood and doing other tests. I could not believe how good they were, glad to to back here and make Dr Islam my primary.

This is my first primary care Doctor* Dr. Norma Islam, was very nice and actually sat down ( Didn’t stand, she sat and was all ears) to listen to why I was there, my concerns looked over some lab results I took prior and went over everything in detail and literally put me at ease. I was worried of what I told way before I made an appointment. I gave her an earful. But she listened not just respond, but to professionally and thoroughly talk to you and explain everything. Thank you to the sweet amazing Nurse who I also gave an earful . Thank you Dr. Norma Islam for your time and care.

Dr. Islam and the entire staff were great. The check-in process was easy. Once I check-in, my wait was less than five minutes. I was in and out in an hour and headed to get bloodwork nearby with clear instructions. Before leaving Dr. Islam went over everything with me carefully to bot ensure I clearly understood what my plan of care was any the "why" behind it, as well as managing my expectations around time lines for test results and any potential follow-up.

I am so glad I was able to find Dr. Islam and her office nearby my new home through Zocdoc. Everyone was friendly and professional. I felt welcomed and heard. Dr. Islam took her time to get to know me, which I never experienced before with a PCP. I forever found my new PCP from here on out. I recommend Dr. Islam and her staff for all your primary care needs. I also came in the next day first thing in the morning for lab work and I was in and out of there.
