About Dr. Norma Montiel

Norma Montiel, DO, is a Board Certified Dermatologist and a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Montiel completed both her internship and fellowship at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where she is currently on staff. She is also a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association, and Long Island Dermatology Society. Dr. Montiel serves as a consultant for Estee Lauder and has worked at the US Open. She has authored articles, received an award for her clinical presentations, and taught residents. Her special interest lies in medical dermatology.

I know her for the last 2 or 3 years. She is always cheerful with smiling face with a little bit of humor. She has always responded my request or problems and did her best to treat it.
She greeted me and asked me a few questions. She only looked at my skin issue from a distance. Never bothered to put on gloves to look closely at my skin irritation. The waiting time was longer than the consultation. Maybe between 5-10 of interaction. Disappointed. Felt dismissed
she was super rushed. had a lot of patients of course but i'm looking for a doctor who takes time with me and talks through everything etc, better bedside manner.
