Psychologist
5887 Glenridge Dr, Ste 230, Sandy Springs, GA
I'm a pediatric psychologist who loves helping families, teens, and young adults overcome challenges. For the past 8 years, I've worked with teens and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, chronic illness, and conflict with parents. I also offer psycho-educational evaluations and provide detailed reports with recommendations. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and trained at top hospitals like the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the National Institutes of Health. Currently, I work as a psychologist at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research, and I'm the founder and director of CAYA Care. My goal is to provide your family with the best care possible. Together, we'll identify your top concerns and goals for therapy, choose the best treatment, and track you or your teen's progress. I make sure to understand and validate what you or your child are going through, and together we'll build a toolkit of research-backed strategies to help you thrive.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy is a collaborative process. I will work with you to build a toolbox of the most helpful coping skills and will work with parents to reinforce use of these strategies. I am passionate about working to ensure each child, teen, and young adult is living a rich, full, and meaningful life. At this point, I am providing psycho-educational in-person assessments in Georgia but also provide tele-therapy across 35 states. I look forward to working with you!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Initially, we will have a comprehensive intake where I will hear your concerns. We will identify specific goals for assessment and/or treatment. Then, I adopt a highly personalized treatment process unique to each individual and family's needs. I practice under a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy framework, and I acknowledge and respect that each patient's treatment journey is unique! That is why I emphasize that therapy is a collaborative process.
