Dr. Machhour was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience at Georgia State University. She moved to Houston to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming an optometrist and subsequently received her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston. During her optometric training, she gained significant exposure to diagnosing and managing a variety of conditions, including but not limited to diabetic/hypertensive retinopathy, dry eye, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. She holds special interests in ocular disease, pediatrics, and pre/postoperative management of refractive and cataract surgeries. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, watching sports, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
