Nyonnoweh Greene, MD is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician. She sees patients and serves as the Medical Director at Mount Sinai Doctors West 8th Street in Manhattan. She provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from birth through the end of life.
Dr. Greene is of Liberian heritage, raised in Austin, Texas, she moved to New York City to attend Columbia College. She received her medical degree from the University of California at Davis. She completed her family medicine residency at Dignity Hospital, a community hospital in Sacramento, California. She became a Diplomate of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine in 2013. Prior to medical school she worked as a Natural Therapeutic Specialist, providing bodywork and nutritional counseling as well as teaching yoga. In recent years, she practiced medicine as a partner with Sutter Medical Group in Northern California. While there, she served as a physician wellness coordinator, promoting work life balance in this multispecialty group practice. In 2020, she was the founding chair of the physician-led Race, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Task Force which promoted physician involvement in the movement toward health equity for all.
Dr. Greene believes in treating the whole person, and that the best medicine is a healthy lifestyle. She incorporates her knowledge of herbology, nutrition, and yoga with her allopathic medical training to help patients optimize their health. She has a special interest in using diet and activity to prevent and treat diabetes and cardiovascular disorders.

I was happy with my experience here. I arrived a few minutes early the check in was quick since I filled out the documents in the app prior. I was called in less than 2 minutes after completing my check in. My vitals were taken and Dr. Greene came in immediately after. At no time did I have to wait. She was very attentive, listened to my concerns, gave me feedback, made sure I understood everything and didn't have any other concerns. At no point did I feel rushed, or like Dr. Greene was trying to quickly move on to the next patient. The woman that helped me and scheduled my follow up was also very pleasant. I definitely will be returning here.

I left the office thinking I wanted to send a mass email to all the people I knew and who might be stuck with a PCP they don't like or they like just ok. Dr. Greene is exactly the kind of doctor we all deserve!

Friendly atmosphere in a state-of-the-art building. You’re warmly welcomed from the moment you enter. Zero time to wait. My first visit was amazing! great experience from check in to check out. front desk was super nice & efficient. my nurse was super sweet and personable. i had blood work done and i always get nervous but she was patient and super supportive. my doctor was amazing, and non judgmental at my questions or concerns. the doctor really listened to me and was very personable. i’ve definitely found my PCP.
