My name is Dr. L.A Semore, DNP; I am a psychiatry provider, but I am not a physician/medical doctor/therapist/counselor/life coach I look forward to working and meetingwith you, Dual Board Certified as Adults Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of combined work experience and have acquired an extensive background in telepsychiatry, inpatient, and outpatient mental health over the last 5 years. I discuss and elaborate on both pharmacotherapeutic and psychotherapeutic interventions as treatment modalities so that we can both appreciate the decisions and choices we make using the aforementioned set of knowledge and values. I may not prescribe medication after the initial assessment, I may strongly encourage THE patient to pursue psychotherapy regularly with a licensed professional counselor in addition to what I can provide here. I emphasized that medications are only a piece of the puzzle regarding patient reaching their potential for optimal mental health and psychosocial quality of life. Through my experiences, extensive education, and clinical training, I have witnessed the importance of valuing each person’s expectations and views regarding psychiatric medication treatment. I always include clients in medication.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
