About Dr. Ohara Aivaz
Dr. Ohara Aivaz is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Beverly Hills, California. She is an expert in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine with Phi Beta Kappa honors distinction, she went on to complete her medical degree at Georgetown University Medical School. She then completed a prestigious combined Internal Medicine and Dermatology residency program at Georgetown University Hospital and Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. During her residency, she had the unique opportunity to receive training at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Dermatology Department, and thus supplemented her rigorous training by working with the NIH’s world experts in Dermatology. She was awarded the position of Chief Resident of Dermatology in her last year of residency. Dr. Aivaz is one of a handful of dermatologists who are double-board certified in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Aivaz’s calm and caring demeanor, as well as her expertise in medical dermatology and facial rejuvenation, have earned her several “Top Doctors” awards since she has been in practice. Her personal philosophy in facial rejuvenation is to naturally rewind the hands of time to make patients appear as a better, more refreshed version of themselves. She strives to help each patient achieve his or her aesthetic goals through a multi-dimensional approach that addresses numerous factors related to aging. Her training at Georgetown emphasized the philosophy of ‘cura personalis’, care of the whole person. As such, she gets to know each of her patients to understand his or her needs, desired outcomes, and personal philosophies on aesthetic treatments so that she can determine which procedures they will benefit from the most.

The experience with the staff was a little disorganized. I was prescribed a medication that I’ve asked twice for to be sent to my pharmacy, but no progress has been made. I dont want to generalize this as the common experience for most, just thought I’d share in case someone needs urgent medication.

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Aivaz on ZocDoc. She was awesome. I have been trying to find a dermatologist that I can connect with and trust since I moved to Los Angeles over twenty years ago and I can now say I have. The office was beautiful, classy and clean. All of the staff was very helpful and performed their responsibilities with big smiles on their faces. I never felt like I was putting anyone out. They made me feel like I'd known them for years. The wait was the exactly right amount of time. When the doctor came into my examination room, she was fantastic. very knowledgeable and very direct to the point. Not one time did anyone at the office attempt to sell me anything, or talk me into any procedures that I wasn't there for. This was a perfect appointment and I could not recommend them more. 10 out of 10 Stars!

The staff up front were friendly and the doctor was friendly, knowledgeable, informative and patient. She was hands on and personable.
New patients are informed to come 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. They take lunch from 12-1p so I suggest new patients to not schedule after because other appointments have an overlap in scheduling which slightly delays the time in being seen.

Dr. Aivaz was negligent in her care for me. She paid no attention to my medical history and completely disregarded my allergies by prescribing me medications with my allergen in them *more than once*. Her office brushed off my concerns with attitude and offered zero apologies for their misconduct.
It is unthinkable that a doctor would have such carelessness when it comes to something as serious as an allergy. It’s extremely frustrating and concerning to have a healthcare provider who doesn’t take the time to listen or even check for contraindications. I would not recommend this practice, especially to those who have sensitive or complex medical needs.

I highly recommend this provider. From the front desk to the medical provider, I was in good hands at each step of the way. The office was clean and very well decorated. I went in, scared and nervous about a mole but I left satisfied and confident with my treatment. 10 stars if I could.

Nicest doc office I've ever visited. Kind and professional front desk receptionist and PA.
Dr. Aivaz really took the time to listen, collect a comprehensive medical history, and then discussed multiple treatment options. I really appreciated how she accounted for etiology AND managing the condition. I've run into a few too many doctors this year that were eager to prescribe medication without them taking a step back to assess what's been causing my issues.
I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family.

Dr. Ohara is an incredible dermatologist. She has an excellent bedside manner listening very intently to all questions and concerns as well as providing reasonable treatments with lots of options. Her staff is also excellent and I felt very at ease at this practice. They do both medical and cosmetic treatments, but they don't try to push you to do unnecessary cosmetic treatments which I like. They are extremely professional and very nice. Would highly recommend!
