As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Walden University, my goal is to provide medication management for my patients. I also utilize an integrative approach for those seeking guidance on the use of evidence-informed nutraceuticals and supplements alongside prescription psychotropic medications. I believe the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected, and I employ a variety of evidence-based practices to promote overall wellness.
With over 18 years of experience in mental health, I have worked with a diverse range of patients, including those with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. I have a special interest in helping individuals who struggle with anxiety, chronic stress, trauma, and mood disorders.

My goal is to work with you to develop a treatment plan that meets your unique needs and goals.When working with new clients, I prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable discussing your mental health concerns. I understand that seeking help can be challenging, and I strive to provide a supportive and compassionate environment.
Throughout the course of our work together, I will regularly check in with you to ensure that our treatment plan is meeting your needs and goals. I welcome feedback and will adjust our approach as needed to ensure that you are receiving the best possible care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
My typical process for working with clients begins with a thorough diagnostic assessment. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a focus on psychiatry, I believe that it is important to understand the whole person and the context in which they are seeking treatment.
During our initial consultation, we will discuss your current concerns and symptoms, as well as your medical and psychiatric history. I may also use various assessment tools to help gain a deeper understanding of your unique situation. Once we have established a diagnosis, I will work with you to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs and goals.

I was able to get an appointment quickly, which I really appreciated, as oftentimes I prefer to be seen as soon as an issue arises. He was on time, and immediately kind and comforting. I felt at ease and he asked so many questions to get a big-picture view of me, and my medical/social history so that he could understand where I'm at currently. I felt listened to and validated, which I have been so scared about that not happening, so it was a sigh of relief for me. We came up with a treatment plan; he listened to what I was hoping for, and mixed it with what he thought was appropriate, so together we made a plan that I am really happy starting out with. During the appointment he scheduled the follow up appointment, so I know I will be seen by the same provider in the near future, which I feel great about. Overall I had a better experience than I could have hoped for, and I'm really looking forward to continuing my care here.

Dr. Dayo heard me when no other provider seemed to have done so. He listened, related, and explained his reasoning behind every recommendation. He made me feel like I was speaking to a human with empathy and not just someone trying to give me medicine and push me out so he can get to the next patient. He heard my concerns and the meds he prescribed me work! For the first time ever, my medicine is working and it’s because he listened to me when I expressed that the others weren’t working. He is very nice. but prescribed me a medication with way too high of a dose and I had to be hospitalized and monitored bc of toxicity due to the high dose. The doctors said it could’ve been irreversible if i didn’t come in to the hospital. i just thought he would definitely know if a certain medication he’s prescribing is too high of a dose or not. quite disappointed honestly. luckily i’m okay.

My experience with Dayo was nothing less than amazing. I can sincerely say that Dayo enjoys his line of work. It was the first time in a long time that I felt that my feelings were finally listened to and valued. I plan to continue psychotherapy sessions with Dayo in an attempt to navigate some of the issues I am currently facing. If I could give him 10 stars I would.
