I am a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Walden University, where I also earned my Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. I have excellent experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My practice encompasses treating a broad range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, ADHD, binge eating, and more. My goal is for each client to achieve maximum symptom reduction using the lowest effective medication doses, thereby minimizing side effects and tailoring treatment to individual needs.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am a highly motivated, affable, and well-informed healthcare professional who leverages my extensive two-decade nursing background, along with my professional designation as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), to deliver comprehensive outpatient psychiatric services to individuals with mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, eating disorders, mood disorders, cognitive disorders, personality disorders, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, as well as substance-related disorders.
With my strong nursing background, I can properly evaluate clients for medical, nutritional, hormonal, and environmental causes of symptoms. At the same time, ensuring that medication is always prescribed with care. I can offer patient a centered care that is judgement free and based on modern behavioral science.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I prioritize the welfare of my clients and am approachable and communicative. I provide thorough assessments of mental health, administer behavioral interventions, coordinate care, provide supportive therapy, and make referrals for specialized treatment.
