It is my belief that life's experiences teach things about the world that may no longer be the most helpful or true today; even if they were true at the time in our past. When we don't adapt and remain flexible, we find ourselves in a web of mistaken beliefs, thinking errors and unresolved life problems. As a result, it becomes too hard to find our way and manage life's challenges in the here-and-now. I love to be present when my clients find a new way and authentically experience change. I've worked with clients from many walks of life and with varied needs. My areas of expertise are in Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Personality Disorders, Bipolar, Psychosis, Risk Assessment, Trauma, PTSD and Eating disorder. I use Behavioral Modification, Cognitive Behavioral and Humanistic approach to help my clients bring out the best in themselves. I like to use humor, challenging questions, and a direct approach because I think in counseling we should get to the point, and we should have fun doing it. My favorite activities when I'm not at work are to explore and appreciate the outdoors going to the beach, theme parks, and spending time with my family, and trying new exciting restaurants. I graduated from South University in Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Register Nursing. I then went on to complete a Doctor of Nursing Practice Specializing in Psychiatrist Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Walden University, MN.
