Getting to know Onyinye Osuagwu
I am Onyinye Osuagwu, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Associate's degree from Quincy College, my Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and advanced my education by obtaining a Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Regis College. I have extensive experience working in multiple healthcare settings. I found my passion for mental health early in my nursing career. A few years ago, I made providing mental healthcare one of my life's missions and decided to advance my career by pursuing graduate education. My goal is to provide client-centered, conscientious, and holistic care to my patients.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I serve the adult population (age 18 and above) by providing evidence-based and patient-centered care that addresses each patient's individual needs. My approach to care is through kindness, empathy, collaboration, and being forthright with each patient.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
An initial assessment with me will include a comprehensive assessment of current symptoms and a review of your history with a non-judgmental lens. You can expect to feel safe. We will work together to create a personalized plan that would best suit your individual need.

There was a ton of paperwork from Kareo that waas needed. We were on the call, I was telling her about what was going on but it was clear she was just filling out a checklist and re-asking me questions to things I just stated.
She stopped the session in the middle to have me fill out more paperwork and when I tried to get back into the teleappointment she wasn't there. Called the Victorious Health office and they said "she wanted us to tell you that an emergency came up and she can't continue the call".
Don't waste your time and energy on filling out these forms for no real help.

The provider did not immediately prescribe the medication I needed, merely electing to go through a long list of questions (typical of psychiatrists). It remains to be seen whether she will at a later visit.

I had the best experience with Onyinye! She was super knowledgeable and knew how to deal with any issues I’ve been having. She is a great communicator and was able to help me with my medication very quickly and efficiently. I definitely recommend her to anyone in need of psychiatry services!
