About Dr. Owen Kramer
Owen N. Kramer, MD, FAAD completed his medical school training at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he graduated among the top of his class with several honors and awards including induction into the Junior Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Silver Scalpel Award for outstanding achievement in his surgical clerkship, and the Clifford Pilz Award for outstanding achievement in his Internal Medicine clerkship as well as scholastic excellence. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago where he was given the Outstanding Preliminary Resident Award. He then completed his Dermatology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he served as Resident Liaison for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and Chief of Cosmetics in his final year.
Dr. Kramer also has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a minor in Spanish. He has published on a variety of skin topics in the medical literature and enjoys providing excellent care of the hair, skin, and nails for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Dr. Kramer was born in Palos Heights, Illinois and raised in nearby Orland Park where he met and later married his high school sweetheart. They both currently reside in the south-west suburbs with their daughter.

THOROUGH is the best word to describe Dr. Kramer’s exam of my body for any skin disorders or issues. Dr. Kramer even pointed out pinhead size moles under my toes that warranted a closer look. The support staff, Receptionist-Anna, Nurses Aid-Debbie were all very warm and friendly during my visit. Highly Recommend!! J. N.

Dr.Kramer was punctual for my appointment. His availability was great compared to several dermatologists. I am already established with a dermatologist, but wasn’t able to be seen for 2 months. He was very attentive and answered all my questions. Gave me treatment options and explained things thoroughly. Very personable. I would refer him to others!

Love my experience with Dr Kramer and the office staff. They were all so friendly and thorough. Been to a couple of other dermatologists who I felt did not hear me out and basically didn’t do anything. Dr Kramer took the time to listen and explained all the options…options I clearly didn’t know I had with the other doctors. But he speaks to you so you understand everything without talking down to you. So happy I found a dermatologist that I love seeing.

Dr.Orwell is a great experienced doctor. Took time to go over the history and diagnosis. Friendly and easy to talk to with great bedside manners. Very considerate and respectful. The nurse was also very professional and friendly and the staff worked great together to effectively help you during the visit. No wait times whatsoever. Clear and straightforward protocols during the visit. I am very grateful I found this place and did not get frustrated dealing with a huge hospital with all the nonsensical bureaucracy.

Great Dr! He noticed my issue right away and listened to my personal insight on topical medications in the past and prescribed me ones that fit my needs. He explained everything very well and had me in and out of the office in 20 minutes!

Quick and easy appointment. Dr. Kramer was punctual and ahead of schedule. My appointment was scheduled at 2:10pm and I was out of the office and in my car at 2:14pm.
The office was in an odd location and a bit outdated but that did not hinder the experience at all.
Would recommend Dr. Kramer to others.
