Notably, he has contributed to the discovery of two novel genetic connective tissue syndromes resulting from defects in the FLNA and AEBP1 genes, and developed an untargeted metabolomic screening test for inborn errors of metabolism. He has published extensively on human genetics, with over 100 publications to date and a number of book chapters.
