What should a new client know about working with you?

First and foremost: you are the expert on your own life. I view mental healthcare as a true partnership. I am deeply eager, excited, and passionate about helping you navigate your wellness journey, and I actively encourage my patients to take a collaborative, driving role in their own treatment planning. When you step into my practice, you can expect an environment rooted in deep empathy, compassion, and zero judgment. My goal is to provide a safe space where you feel genuinely heard, validated, and supported. Background & Expertise I bring a unique, well-rounded perspective to your care. I have been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) since 2011, giving me a strong foundation in whole-body, physical health. To better serve my community, I pursued advanced specialized training at Fresno State and became board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). This allows me to seamlessly bridge the gap between physical and mental well-being, providing comprehensive, holistic care tailored just for you. Whether we are working together on a brand-new diagnosis or managing an ongoing journey, I look forward to empowering you every step of the way. Let’s work together to help you thrive!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is entirely built around you—not a rigid clock. Because I believe that true healing cannot be rushed, our time together is guided strictly by your unique needs, never by an insurance quota or an administrative deadline. Here is what you can typically expect from our sessions: - Initial Consultations (Typically 1 Hour): Our first session is a deep dive where we will get to know one another, discuss your history, and map out your goals. While these are scheduled for an hour, we can adjust the time to be shorter or longer depending entirely on what you need to feel comfortable and heard. - Follow-Up Sessions (Typically 30 Minutes): These check-ins are designed to monitor your progress, fine-tune your treatment plan, and address any new challenges. Just like our initial meeting, this time is flexible; if you need a little extra support, we won't rush you out the door. My Therapeutic Approach: Clinically, I utilize a holistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. This means we won't just look at symptoms in a vacuum. Together, we will explore the powerful connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while always keeping your physical health and lifestyle in mind. My goal is to equip you with practical, real-world tools while ensuring you feel completely supported every single step of the way.
