Getting to know Paola Helberg
I’m a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) providing telehealth psychiatric care to adults across Florida. I work with patients dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood concerns, and trauma related symptoms, particularly when these issues begin affecting concentration, productivity, sleep, relationships, or the ability to keep up with everyday responsibilities.
I believe good psychiatric care starts with a real conversation. I want to understand what brought you in, what you have already tried, what is and isn’t working, and what you would like to change. From there, we can determine whether medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches makes sense for you.
My practice focuses on thoughtful psychiatric evaluations, medication management, education, and supportive therapy. I don't believe treatment should be one size fits all, and I encourage patients to ask questions and be part of the decisions regarding their care.

I provide evidence based psychiatric care through convenient telehealth appointments for patients throughout Florida. My approach combines medication management, education, and supportive therapy while focusing on your overall well-being. I want every client to feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in their mental health journey.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. This initial appointment helps me gain a full understanding of your needs so we can create an individualized treatment plan together.
Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, addressing concerns, adjusting medications when needed, and providing ongoing support and education. I take a collaborative and patient-centered approach, ensuring clients feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in their care. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered throughout their mental health journey.
