About Dr. Parham Haghighi
Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 2003, Dr. Haghighi has been caring for some of the most complex patients in the Northern Virginia area. He has provided care at Inova Fairfax, Inova Alexandria, and Virginia Hospital Center. Dr. Haghighi is the President of Fairfax Internal Medicine Associates, one of the largest internal medicine groups in Northern Virginia. Fairfax Internal Medicine Associates is the only private group offering outpatient services that also follows their patients at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Dr. Haghighi earned his Doctor of Medicine from Tehran University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University, Providence Hospital. He has served as the medical director of Hadley Hospital, one of the first hospitals in Washington, D.C., and also held the medical directorship of Gentiva Hospice, the largest hospice and home health company in the United States, for the Northern Virginia area.
He has been a teaching attending for Internal Medicine residents at Fairfax Hospital for many years. Dr. Haghighi is an active member of the Medical Quality Committee and the Peer Review Committee at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He also serves as the Medical Director of Iliff Nursing and Rehab Center.

Dr. Haghighi is calm, knowledgeable, and not confrontational or intimidating. Even if there's something that you can potentially be at fault for regarding your health, Dr. Haghighi won't make you feel condemned but will instead present his findings and the options available to you and then leave the course of action up to you. The wait time is low, the others who work there are also friendly and helpful, and I recommend Dr. Haghighi's office to everyone.

This place was nuts. I went in for a sore throat and the dr (who had very strange bedside manner) could not confirm if I had strep but suggested I go on a round of antibiotics just in case. I asked if he could confirm with a throat swab (do a rapid test or could take a culture), thinking to myself why am I being the doctor here? No rapid test available bc it was “out of season” (what kind of dr’s office doesn’t have basic testing items!?) He has his receptionist (who was great btw) call lab core on my recommendation to see if they can do the testing there. They couldn’t. So I wasted a copay for nothing and ended up going to the urgent care that same day. What a waste of time! Then, later, I get a call from the office telling me to get a strep test from CVS to test myself?! I’ve never had a more bonkers experience at a Dr’s office in my life. It was like an episode of Mr. Bean!

Dr. Haghighi was friendly and seems capable, but the diagnosis codes in my insurance claims were filed incorrectly, which lead to me paying hundreds of dollars for what was supposed to be a routine, preventative visit. I spoke with multiple insurance agents, gathered the exact codes that were incorrect/resulted in the claim being rejected, and provided them all to the office with explanations, but nothing was done to resolve the claim, they stopped responding to me except to indicate they were going to contact bill collectors, and ultimately it felt like a very predatory experience.

I really liked this doctor. He was kind and took time to listen to what I had to say. I haven't had time to do the test he prescribed yet (will be going soon) but he seemed very knowledgeable. He had a friendly bedside manner and made me feel comfortable.
I also didn't have to wait very long and the office staff was also welcoming and friendly. The nurse was really sweet.

Kevin and Laura were excellent. They were extremely friendly and made check in easy. I was seen by a PA and then the Doctor within 30min. The doctor spent 45min with me. He answered all my questions. I left with my lab slip a slip for my Ct scan and CXR. 4 referrals. Also all of my meds were called in before I left. This was an outstanding team effort. I am a physician myself and I was amazed at the effort. I give the team five stars.

I knew I still had a sinus infection and he acknowledge that as well. We discussed other antibiotics I could take, I have already tried another that didn't work. He also suggested gave good advise as to what to do to help me feel better. Within 24 hours I felt much better. Thankful.

This is a tiny office that has minimal staff. If you need to get prescriptions quickly, or look to be seen for a minor issue, prepare for a long wait. was quite frustrated in trying to get prescriptions filled, and multiple return visits to be told that I wasn't schedule. Sorry, moving on.

The office is the worst! While the staff was friendly and seemingly knowledgeable, they do not accept phone calls before 9:30am, they close at 3:40pm, have Fridays off and are unavailable for 1.5 hours for lunch. It's very difficult to reach the doctor or anyone at the clinic. They don't discuss lab results over the phone and won't send them to you, so you have to schedule another appointment just to find out what your lab results were. I would never recommend his place to anyone!
