About Dr. Parul Shah
Dr. Parul Shah is a board-certified dermatologist from St. Louis, Missouri, and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She completed a 6-year BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and her dermatology residency at St. Louis University. She also completed a fellowship at Duke University, researching topical vitamin C with Dr. Sheldon Pinnell, founder of SkinCeuticals.
Dr. Shah has practiced general and cosmetic dermatology across the U.S., including in Illinois, Southern California, Texas, Maryland, and Tennessee, and has volunteered in Kenya and India. Her interests include acne treatment, skincare, and cosmetic dermatology. In 2023, she was named one of Nashville’s Top Doctors.
In her free time, Dr. Shah enjoys family time, traveling, hiking, exploring new foods and restaurants, enjoying good coffee, reading, and watching movies. Her goals are to ensure patients feel listened to, respected, and comfortable, and to provide inclusive care for all ethnicities and races. the doctor had a difficult patient which caused for me to be in the waiting room for a half hour and then it took an additional half hour to see the doctor. my exam was efficient and covered my questions but the doctor didn’t acknowledge the long wait time even though this was my first experience.
