I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), with a Master's in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and a DNP from Walden University. I understand how difficult it can be to share your personal information. I provide a non-judgmental space where you can feel safe, valued, and heard. Treatment is individualized based on your symptoms. I believe in a holistic approach to care and am passionate about helping my patients feel better. I collaborate with other psychiatric providers to ensure the best outcomes. What should a new client know about working with you?
I have eight years of diverse nursing experience, including working at Heritage Oaks, CA, Sierra Vista Hospital, and John George Psychiatric Hospital. For the past two years I have been working outpatient at Mindful Health Solution clinic, Stockton, CA seeing patients with mental health conditions both remotely and in person. I provide a nonjudgmental and safe space for patient to feel free expressing their feelings. I provide psychoeducation, answer any questions that patients might have.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I work with patients who may be struggling with depression, Anxiety, ADHD or other mood disorders. During our initial session, your main complaint will be addressed. A care plan will be formulated based on your symptoms. Medications will be prescribed as needed. You will benefit from supportive psychotherapy/lifestyle modification. A follow-up session will be established for evaluation.

Patience Morikang, NP, DNP, is by far the most caring and thorough provider I’ve ever met. She took the time to ask me detailed questions, truly listened to everything I said, and explained my symptoms and treatment options in a clear and compassionate way. She helped me feel comfortable, understood, and supported throughout the entire visit.
I especially appreciated how she guided me to express things I didn’t know how to put into words, and how she recommended appropriate follow-up tests to ensure nothing was overlooked. She’s patient, insightful, and makes you feel safe opening up. I left the appointment feeling genuinely cared for. I’m so grateful I found her.

Doctor/NP told me that they took my insurance before the appointment started. Within 24-48 hours after the appointment was complete, the NP informs me that she actually does not take my insurance.
NP confirmed medication details with me during the appointment & then she sent something different to the pharmacy than what she had confirmed with me. This was without any follow-up.
NP does not know how to complete prior authorizations. When i asked her, she said that she had never done one before & that she could try her best to complete it over a few days time.
