What should a new client know about working with you?

A Place Where You Feel Heard, Understood, and Supported Your mental health journey is personal, and your care should be, too. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, sharing your concerns, and knowing that your voice matters. What can you expect? From our first meeting, we will take the time to understand you as a whole person—your experiences, challenges, strengths, goals, and what matters most to you. Together, we will develop a personalized care plan that reflects your unique needs and preferences. You can expect: To be truly heard — Your concerns, experiences, and goals are important. Personalized care — Your treatment plan will be tailored to you, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Collaboration — You will be an active partner in decisions about your care. Compassion and respect — You will be treated with dignity and understanding, without judgment. Whole-person care — We will look beyond symptoms to understand better the many factors that can influence your mental and emotional well-being. Support along the way — My role is not simply to provide treatment, but to support, guide, educate, and empower you as you work toward your goals. I hope that you leave each visit feeling heard, understood, and supported, with a clearer sense of direction and confidence in your path forward. Your story is unique—and your care should be, too.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A Personalized Approach to Your Mental Health Starting mental health care can feel unfamiliar, and sometimes even a little overwhelming. My goal is to make the process comfortable, collaborative, and centered around you. Here is what you can expect: 1. Getting to Know You Our first visit is an opportunity for me to listen and learn about you—what brings you in, what you have been experiencing, your history, strengths, concerns, and what you hope to accomplish. I take the time to understand the whole person, not just the symptoms. 2. Understanding Your Goals Together, we will identify what you would like to change or improve. Your goals become an important part of creating a treatment approach that feels meaningful and realistic for you. 3. Creating Your Personalized Care Plan Based on our conversation and assessment, we will develop an individualized plan. Depending on your needs, this may include medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle approaches, education, or other evidence-based and integrative options. 4. Making Decisions Together You are an active participant in your care. I will explain your options, answer your questions, and discuss the potential benefits and risks so that we can make informed decisions together. 5. Ongoing Support and Follow-Up Mental health care is a process, not a single visit. During follow-up appointments, we will check your progress, discuss what is working and what may need to change, and adjust your care plan as needed. 6. Helping You Move Toward Your Goals My role extends beyond treating symptoms. I strive to be your partner, guide, educator, and supporter as you work toward greater emotional well-being and the life you want to live. Most importantly, you can expect to be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. There is no judgment and no expectation that you have everything figured out when you walk through the door. We start where you are and work together from there.
