Patricia Nojiri, SLP, CCC - SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
NJ
The provider is a licensed SLP in the state and their license number is 41YS00726200. I chose to become a speech-language pathologist because of my commitment to supporting individuals in achieving their highest potential in communication and daily functioning. I was drawn to the field because it combines evidence-based practice with meaningful, person-centered care, allowing me to apply clinical expertise while making a direct impact on quality of life. Helping clients develop functional communication skills, foster independence, and build stronger connections with others has been both motivating and deeply rewarding. Throughout my career, I have valued the blend of scientific knowledge, clinical problem-solving, and collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams that define the role of an SLP. I have completed specialized training in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), pediatric dysphagia management, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) interventions. In addition, I have training in PROMPT therapy, the DIR Floortime Therapy Model, and the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding. These trainings allow me to deliver individualized, evidence-based interventions that support functional communication, motor planning, social-emotional development, and safe feeding skills across diverse pediatric populations. I have experience providing therapy across a variety of settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, sensory gyms, and assisted living facilities. My approach is holistic and client-centered, focusing on meaningful goals that empower each individual to communicate and participate confidently in daily life. I integrate family involvement, routines-based strategies, and a strengths-based perspective to support lasting progress. When helpful, I incorporate sensory integration techniques to promote regulation and engagement throughout sessions.
