About Dr. Patrick Derby
Patrick Derby, DPM, is a podiatric surgeon with an interest in reconstructive surgery, wound care, diabetic limb salvage, and minimally-invasive bunion correction. Dr. Derby earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville followed by his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, California. He then completed a surgical residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan, where he served as chief resident for two years.
During his postgraduate training, Dr. Derby gained significant experience performing minimally-invasive procedures and reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot surgeries. His program provided him with a versatile foundation and the guidance to build strong doctor-patient relationships. It also shaped his core principle as a physician: making a uniquely positive impact on each patient.

Although this was my first appointment, I was treated at the office as if I had been there before. I was made very comfortable, asked what brought me in. I was given an unhurried opportunity to explain my problem and how it had previously been treated. I was very impressed that the Dr Derby actually listened to what I had to say .

I got what I came for. There was no structural issue causing my problem, use of foot pads should help the problem -- and they did, and he described exercises going forward to help the problem. I'm a snow bird, it was good to get that help.

Very good experience. I was having issues with my left foot, where walking on it was painful. Dr. Derby spotted a splinter embedded in my foot fairly deep. He took caution in digging into the bottom of my foot and retrieved the splinter. Very nice experience.
