About Patrick R. DeRouen
Patrick R. DeRouen, PAC, is originally from Louisiana and earned his Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Emory University, Atlanta, GA, graduating in 2002. His career as a Physician Assistant began in general and vascular surgery, where he worked for three years before joining Atlanta West Dermatology in 2006. He is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and prides himself on staying up to date on all areas of dermatology. Patrick is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. When he is not caring for patients at Atlanta West Dermatology, he enjoys being outdoors and traveling.

PA Patrick was professional, friendly/sociable. However, even though he had gloves on, he never lift my foot up by the heel to examine more closely. He did, however, get close enough to see infected skin area. I notice, and am quite sensitive about doctors who appear reluctant to touch me. I've had extremely great doctors in the past. (I'm knew to Georgia.)

Patrick the NP was good.; he took the time to listen to each of my concerns and was gentle in a mole and skin tag removal. The wait time was very short even though they were very busy. The staff however, were pretty blunt and just going through the motions. The nurse didn't even strike up conversation while she was prepping me; so there's just something lacking the staff's customer service.
