The interview process felt more like an interrogation rather than a collaborative exchange between patient and practitioner.

I won’t be seeing this provider again. Weirdest appointment I’ve experienced. Just a lot of typing on his computer and assuming I wanted a drug prescribed when I only mentioned my psychiatrist prescribed it to me a year ago and stopped taking it 4 months ago. Kind of rude

I felt really anxious during the appointment because the doctor kept typing over me while I was speaking. I told him it made me uncomfortable, but he continued doing it. He also asked the same question multiple times, which made it clear he wasn’t actually listening. It felt very unprofession

I have not seen this doctor long enough to make a definitive judgment, only for an intake so far. Based on the one interaction, I would give him a 3/5. Bedside manner could use some work- he was visibly irritated at some of my answers to his very invasive questions. Listen, I understand that it is probably frustrating if a patient can’t give a complete medical history. However I was very upfront about the fact that I haven’t seen a psychiatrist in 10+ years, so I was not able to rattle off every medication I have ever been on. This seemed to clearly annoy him and I almost wanted to end the appointment. He very much warmed up towards the end of the appointment and was much more personable. I am happy with the medication he put me on thus far and have no complaints. Seems like a nice guy overall. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he probably had a long day and was stressed. We’re human after all! Nonetheless, despite the rocky start, I look forward to my next appointment with him.
