About Dr. Paul Kim
Dr. Paul H. Kim is a board-certified internist at WPHPA Medical Specialists in White Plains. He is a dedicated healthcare provider who focuses on ensuring that his patients receive appropriate care and are well-informed and involved in their treatment process.
Having earned his medical degree at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, Dr. Kim completed his internship and residency at Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center, where he was also named chief resident.
Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he is a member of the Leo M. Davidoff Society, which honors teachers who have made significant contributions to the education of students at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.

I was really confused as to why the out of pocket bill, even after my insurance covered the annual physical visit. It turned out, from the phone call with my insurance company and the billing department of White Plains Hospital, that certain lab tests were not coded as preventative (even though I've had same types of tests from previous primary providers and those were part of preventative care). I also learned that the Hospital charged more for lab tests than third-party labs like Quest Diagnostics. My insurance company asked the hospital to resubmit the claim using preventative codes but they refused. If you visit this doctor and are not aware of this, be warned.

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease when I was as young as nine years old and since then I have had countless doctors appointments. As I got older, I started to not like going to the doctors because of how often I went. Many times it was just the same routine and made me feel like the doctor was listening, but not really hearing my problems.
Dr. Kim genuinely cares about his patients. He is receptive and gives his patients great attention, advice, and support. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone.
