About Dr. Paul Orton
Dr. Orton is a Board Certified Dermatologist with over 30 years of clinical practice, teaching, and research in Colorado. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah and completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Colorado, following training in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah.
Dr. Orton is a past president of the Colorado State Dermatology Society and a teaching associate professor at the University of Colorado. He is an internationally recognized expert in cosmetic dermatology, focusing on Mohs micrographic surgery to treat skin cancer, tumescent liposculpting, and Facial Augmentation with Muscle Injections (FAMI™).
Dr. Orton frequently hosts teaching seminars to instruct other physicians in effective, cutting-edge techniques.

Waited for more than an hour after my appointment to see the doctor. The nurse asked me if I wanted a full body look-over check and I said yes. When the doctor came in he didn’t say anything about the wait and just looked at one skin issue I had, didnt care that he was hurting me in re-poking me to explain what he was seeing to the observer, talked about himself the whole time and barely asked me any questions, then didn’t even look at anything else. Which honestly at this point was fine by me because I didn’t want to talk to him anymore anyways. I would not go back, and I would not recommend.

I was scheduled for a full body exam. He only looked at my scalp, my face, and areas on arms and legs that I SHOWED HIM. I sat in a shirt and capris and he didn’t look at my back or any other covered areas. He talked about Covid and how masks don’t work to protect.
My husband was also seen and Dr. sprayed many many areas on his face but my husband had to remind him to do one that he was concerned about. Seemed to “overspray” a lot.
Gave no post-procedure instructions other than to say, “there will be big blisters”.
We would not recommend and will not return!

The staff was super friendly and kept apologizing for the long wait. They even gave me water as I waited over an hour for the provider. Once I saw the provider I received great care. He was very clear about treatment options and prices.

It was easy to make an appointment online which was great because I hate talking on the phone. The check in process was quick and easy. They had you fill out the necessary forms on this cool tablet. The entire staff was really nice and friendly and took the time to answer questions. Dr.Orton was very nice and sat down and talked with me and explained things very well. I felt very comfortable.

I would say no to this doctor.
1. They charged me for treatment with no proper receipt.
2. Prescription given by the doctor did not have any effect.
3. Requested for blood samples and no update on the result.
4. Tried calling the office but no proper response and appointment time to visit doctor office is more than 2 weeks.

I can not say enough great things about Dr. Orton and his staff. From the person at the front desk, to his nurse who took me back to the room, to Dr. Orton himself. Such a friendly, nice, caring, understanding, compassionate man. Incredible bedside manner. Honestly, probably the best I have ever seen. He listened to me and my concerns and was great. I will be back next year for a yearly check up for sure. I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Orton and his staff. You will not be disappointed.

Was a first time patient so the extra wait time was probably expected. Otherwise Dr. Orton seemed to quickly get to the root of my problem whereas another Dermotologist I previously went to seemed to miss the mark. Anyway I'll know better after a couple of weeks treatment as to how accurate his diagnosis was.

They were efficient and professional. The office is nice and the doctor was down to business with very little wasted time, which I appreciate. The office inadvertently double booked my appointment time. They called me in the morning however and got me in a little bit earlier than my scheduled appointment. I was in and out of the office in 46 minutes.
