About Dr. Payel Gupta
Dr. Payel Gupta is a triple board-certified Allergist & Immunologist. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University and completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at RUSH University Medical Center. She then pursued a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Dr. Gupta is an Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and a clinical instructor at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
She treats both adult and pediatric patients with asthma, environmental allergies, allergic skin conditions, immune disorders, and food allergies.
Dr. Gupta is Co-Host of The Itch Podcast, dedicated to helping patients understand their allergic conditions. She is a past president of the New York Allergy & Asthma Society, a Volunteer National Spokesperson for the American Lung Association, and an active member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

I am a doctor and would not see this doctor again. She was abrupt and irritable and did not want to spend time exploring what might be happening. Also quite dismissive of Mcas which is a real thing. Offered nothing I hadn’t found on Google myself before seeing her. Her background was also a mess and she really felt like she didn’t want to be there. I guess other more positive reviews catch her on better days but it seems like that’s his or miss. 0/10 do not recommend. Would not treat my patients this way.

I still prefer seeing doctors in person but unfortunately i was unable to so I decided to book a online appointment. It was ver easy and convenient, felt like we were in person. I needed labs and they we sent to me so i can make an appointment with the lab, just like if it would have been in person. She was very professional and caring. I look forward to my next online appointment with Dr.Gupta.

I personally feel this provider had no bedside manner. Clearly can help on a good day, could explain things clearly. But started off on a condescending tone that did not change. There are choices when it comes to speaking to others and sharing information. Didn't agree with this providers choices. Just my experience!
