About Pearl Tu

Pearl's interest in nutrition began with a personal challenge. From a young age, she learned to pay close attention to the ingredients in different dishes to ensure they were free of allergens. Her interest expanded during her travels overseas, where she noticed varying food labels and unique approaches each country takes to ensure food safety and promote healthy eating. These experiences and insights transformed her interest into an academic passion, leading her to earn a Bachelor's degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master's in Public Health from the University of Michigan. She became a Registered Dietitian with a public health background. Additionally, Pearl completed training in Motivational Interviewing and obtained a certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching. This training enables her to recognize patients' values and preferences, and combined with her multicultural background, she provides realistic and applicable recommendations.
