About Dr. Pearl Tung
Pearl Tung is a nationally board-certified midwife dedicated to providing compassionate care for her patients. She has been a midwife since 2009, working in a variety of communities throughout New York City. She is currently part of a group practice at Charles B. Wang Community Health Center and is affiliated with The Brooklyn Hospital Center.
Dr. Tung received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University. She earned her Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery and a Bachelor of Science from Columbia University School of Nursing. Additionally, she holds an undergraduate degree in both Journalism and Gender/Sexuality Studies from NYU, graduating Cum Laude with Honors. Dr. Tung has been published in the Journal of Midwifery and Women’s Health and continues to write educational literature to help clarify important topics for her patients.

Dr Pearl was super friendly, caring, considerate, and helpful with answering various question. She also took attention and care to check for things in question extensively, and was very eloquent in explaining the reasons to findings and requests. This was hands down one of the best GYN appointments I’ve ever had. I’m currently pregnant with my fifth child, I’ve had four previous C-Sections and Dr. Pearl was so patient and knowledgeable, she sat with me and listened , she referred me to specialist, follow up appointments. At the appointment I started to feel faint and they even let me lay down and brung me water. The office is clean, every single staff member from the front desk to the doctor were friendly and knowledgeable. Absolutely satisfied and I wish I could give her 1000000 Stars. I highly recommend this facility. And I traveled all the way from Lawrence, NY to go to this location. Well worth the visit.

This is my first time going to Pearl Tung for my annual Pap smear. Everyone helping at the office was kind.
Dr. Tung was gentle, respectful, thoughtful and clearly communicated through out the appointment. She also advocated health options for me with respect. I didn’t experience any discomfort after. I will absolutely return. Booking an appt through ZocDoc was a breeze and I was easily able to ensure my health insurance would cover the cost in advance.

I absolutely love this place. It being my 1st time here the receptionist that helped me was very friendly and warm welcoming. She helped me with all the new client paperwork and any questions I had. The midwife Tung was amazing. She was so warm and welcoming very very informative gave great advice and really made me feel like I was comfortable and happy. Overall, 100/100.
