About Dr. Perel Schneid
One of the reasons I enjoy practicing Family Medicine is the ability to see and treat the full spectrum of healthcare needs. I treat a variety of conditions, from diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol management, to mental health conditions like depression and anxiety, to acute needs such as respiratory infections. I enjoy getting to know my patients and being their partner on their journey to a healthier life.
The most important aspect of the practice of medicine is the relationship between patient and doctor. Building this rapport, getting to know my patients, and developing mutual respect and trust is very valuable to me. My job is to present my patients with the knowledge and background that they need so we can make shared decisions about their healthcare as a team.
Prevention is the best treatment. Making sure we take steps to keep ourselves healthy is the most important aspect of healthcare. Seeing my patients regularly, and remaining watchful regarding their overall health, will help ensure that we are doing our best to maximize prevention and early detection of disease to enhance health outcomes.

My first visit to Dr. Schneid after moving to the area and I plan to keep seeing her as a PCP. She was attentive and collaborative during the visit, making me feel properly heard as well as educated on my treatment. I also did not feel rushed at all.
The office staff and especially the medical assistant, Debra, were so kind. The space was comfortable, clean, and bright without that usual drab and soulless feeling that doctor offices have. Plus, it wasn’t freezing in the exam room! Highly recommend Dr. Schneid and this VMG location as a whole.

Dr. Schneid was great! I went for a physical but had a separate complaint. She asked a lot of questions and listened. She decided to run a test and focus on that issue as it seemed more urgent than a physical. She then referred me to a specialist and since they were running behind, she asked me to come back for a physical another time. I did wait over an hour to be seen, which was frustrating, but they were temporarily relocated to a busy clinic that day so they fell behind, which I’m understanding of. The nurse who saw me first was not very warm and friendly in the beginning, but I could tell it was an overwhelming day for everyone in the office.

Dr. Schneid was very attentive to every concern I had. It was our initial meeting, but I felt confortable with her immediately. She seemed very knowledgeable and had not just medicinal solutions to issues I mentioned but herbal/holistic suggestions as well and I appreciated that immensely.
The office staff was very nice, professional and helpful. The office location was very convenient for me and the office itself was very spacious and clean.
