What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide comprehensive, evidence-based care that includes psychiatric evaluation, medication management, supportive psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and collaborative care with other providers. During the initial visit, I conduct a thorough assessment to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to each patient's needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session focuses on getting a clear understanding of what brings you in. I’ll ask about your current concerns, symptoms, mental health history, medical background, and any past treatments. We’ll also talk about your goals so we can shape a plan that fits your needs. After the initial evaluation, follow-up visits are more focused and structured. We review how you’ve been feeling, what’s working, and what may need adjustment. If medications are part of your care, we’ll discuss effectiveness, side effects, and any changes in a thoughtful, collaborative way. I do incorporate supportive and skills-based therapy into sessions. This may include brief talk therapy, coping strategies, and practical tools you can use between visits. Sessions are goal-oriented but flexible, allowing space for concerns that feel most important to you that day. Throughout treatment, I emphasize clear communication, shared decision-making, and steady progress at a pace that feels manageable.
