What should a new client know about working with you?

At Bright Bay Psychiatry, we take an integrative approach to care. This includes examining all aspects of the patient's life and identifying the root cause of the patient's symptoms rather than just treating the symptoms with various medications. Medications are used as a tool in addition to addressing other aspects contributing to the patient's symptoms. To maintain this approach to care, we value spending adequate time with the patient to obtain as much information as possible, develop a therapeutic relationship, and provide thorough psychoeducation. Psychoeducation is an evidence-based intervention where the provider educates the patients with information related to their diagnosis, symptoms, psychological concepts, and treatment methods. This allows the patients to be well-informed regarding their care and encourages them to make decisions about their treatment goals. We value taking the time to get to know our patients and building a good rapport while being committed to empowering personal growth within our patients.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At Bright Bay Psychiatry, our commitment goes beyond treating symptoms; it’s about nurturing mental wellness and empowering individuals on their journey to brighter days. We pledge to provide comprehensive, patient-centered psychiatric care that begins with thorough evaluations to understand the unique mental health needs of each individual. From children to adults, our specialized approach ensures tailored treatment plans that integrate medication management, evidence-based psychotherapy, and innovative psychotropic genetic testing for precision in care. Driven by a passion for psychiatric excellence, we advocate for our patients’ mental health with compassion and dedication. Our collaborative treatment philosophy emphasizes open communication and mutual respect, fostering a therapeutic environment where patients feel supported and empowered. Whether through in-person visits or convenient telepsychiatry options, we strive to make quality mental health care accessible and effective. At Bright Bay Psychiatry, we stand committed to lighting the path to mental wellness, guiding each individual towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.
