“I just signed up for Zocdoc. This provider was listed as in my network and local to Los Altos. I am not in Los Angeles. Either way it was a virtual appointment. It stated I had to have a virtual appointment prior to being seen for shots or vaccinations. So that is what I scheduled 10 minutes before the appointment was contacted by the office saying I needed to come in. Well, that’s not gonna work because I’m like 12 hours away . I did not see or was not listed on the Zocdoc app. However, I’m not paying for the appointment that they are just bill me. They should have seen right away what the appointment was for. They didn’t they change the policy and now I’m getting an invoice. Shame on them. Good luck getting a payment because I’m not paying. Absolute fail on their end”

Getting to know Dr. Philip Creps

Dr. Philip Creps is a board-certified Psychiatrist with a broad focus throughout his practice. He offers a wide range of brief therapies in addition to medication management, including dialectically based, cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, and other psychotherapies. He also provides Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for treatment-resistant conditions, especially depression. One aspect he particularly values about working in psychiatry is that all patients can be treated as individuals. He believes it is important to listen to them and coach them to work from the basis of their strengths. Dr. Creps's working style with patients is centered on a therapeutic alliance. He sees his role as a technical assistant. His most important skills are teaching patients about potential side effects and explaining the reasons behind his recommendations, as well as listening carefully to them. He thoroughly enjoys hearing his patients' stories-how their problems developed and what has made things better or worse in the past. The information patients provide is critical for accurate diagnosis and for making the best treatment recommendations. In 2010, Dr. Creps completed a course in TMS at the annual American Psychiatric Association (APA) convention and witnessed its benefits in treating resistant depression in Arizona. Since then, he has been a strong advocate for its use and looks forward to its development for other illnesses. He encourages options such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and esketamine because they are noninvasive, therapeutic interventions that offer significant benefits and long-lasting results. Dr. Creps earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Michigan, where he also completed his undergraduate studies. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Indiana University.
