About Dr. Philip Femano
Dr. Philip Anthony Femano, III, DO, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon providing expert care at facilities in Princeton, Lawrenceville, Hamilton, and Langhorne. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Aultman Hospital. Dr. Femano further refined his expertise through a fellowship in Upper Extremity Surgery at Kettering Health Network. In addition to his extensive training and experience in general orthopedic surgery, including trauma and fracture management, he specializes in complex hand, wrist, and elbow pathologies.
Dr. Femano has extensive experience in trauma and reconstruction of the upper extremities, including microsurgery and treatment of bone, ligament, tendon, and nerve pathologies. He has presented multiple research posters and lectures at national orthopedic conferences and is committed to providing the latest, evidence-based care. Affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, he offers in-office surgeries using WALANT (Wide Awake Local Anesthesia No Tourniquet) techniques. This option allows patients to undergo procedures without sedation, often compared to a routine dental visit, providing a relaxed, time-efficient, and cost-effective setting.

Was able to do so check-in online and eliminated all the paper work needed for new patient. Staff was very friendly. I was called back and had x-rays done prior to my appointment time. Doctor came in on time. Discussed issues, treatments and steps moving forward. Wasn't rushed and got my questions answered.

I waited for almost 45 minutes before being seen, only to be told that my doctor was NOT in the office and to schedule another appointment to actually see him.
I don't mean to be rude, but having driven almost an hour out to the office and waiting that long was a waste of my time. I really wished the office had just told me the doctor wasn't in the office from the beginning.

Dr Fermano had a great demeanor with my 86 year old Mom who has lots of aches and pains and struggles with her body moving. He really showed compassion and gave her al the time she needed to talk, and he listened intently to her to try to understand her pain. I would highly recommend him!
