About Dr. Phillip Lee
Phillip H. A. Lee, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He believes that clear communication with the patient is essential to delivering high-quality care. Nominated by his local peers, he received the Pasadena Magazine – Top Doctors Award in Dermatology. Dr. Lee sees patients at Dermatology Arts, located in South Pasadena and Arcadia, California.
Born in Glendale, California, and raised in Pasadena, California, Dr. Lee considers this area home. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, graduating Summa Cum Laude in biology. Dr. Lee went on to complete his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.
He received a laboratory research fellowship at the VA Medical Center in La Jolla, California, and completed his dermatology residency at the UC San Diego Medical Center. Dr. Lee served as chief resident during his final year of residency.?
Dr. Lee served as a volunteer faculty of the University of Southern California, Department of Dermatology. For his teaching, the dermatology residents awarded him the Outstanding Teaching Award in Medical Dermatology.
Dr. Lee truly enjoys the practice of dermatology and considers it an honor to participate in the patient-doctor relationship. When he is not in the clinic, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his wife and two young girls. When time permits, you can also find him playing basketball and golf. In addition to English, Dr. Lee, who happens to be half Chilean, also speaks fluent Spanish.
