Let me help you. I am a practicing board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with experience in geriatric psychiatry, adult psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, and mental and drug rehabilitation. I earned my Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Arizona. I am also a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) and have worked as an FNP in correctional and hospital settings. Additionally, I have many years of RN experience in various specialties. My professional background allows me to deliver a caring and more comprehensive approach in psychiatry. I have helped hundreds of adults experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, ADHD, PTSD, dementia, and other mental health conditions. I am here to listen and help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I listen to understand. I ask questions to obtain information and clarify. I will work with you to plan treatment. I am result oriented. I am happy to see patients reach their goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Active listening is important to understand patient. The biopsychosocial aspects of patient's life including information about current and chronic stressors will help explain one's mental state. Patient's goals and choices are high in the priorities with consideration for affordability of treatment, and treatments that are evidence-based. We will work together to come up with solutions.
